Microsoft’s 2025 Work Trend Index reports that AI is driving deep workplace transformation, with a new type of organization emerging—“Frontier Firms.” These firms feature “intelligence on demand,” create human + AI teams, and require every employee to take on the role of “AI supervisor.” The report notes that 82% of leaders see 2025 as a critical year to reexamine core strategy and operations, and 83% believe AI will enable employees to take on complex tasks earlier in their careers.
